Russell was one of the founding Partners of Butler Moffat Architects, which was founded in May 2005. Since the acquisition of the Practice by Healy Butler Moffat Architects. Russell’s role is now as a consultant to the practice.

Russell is a graduate of the University of Cape Town School of Architecture and has a Diploma in Project Management accredited by Newport University California. He had his own practice in South Africa until moving to Ireland in 1998.

Russell is a member of the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland and has worked variously as Designer, Project Manager, Design Team Leader, Employer’s Representative and Design Certifier / Assigned Certifier.

Russell has an extensive range of skills, together with over 40 years’ experience across a wide variety of sectors, including Education, Master planning, Urban Design, Healthcare, Commercial / Offices, Hotel / Leisure / Sports, Residential, Conservation, Interior Design and Office fit outs.
