Kieran Maye

Graduate Architect

Kieran joined Healy Butler Moffat Architects in 2021 after completing his undergraduate degree. He was a part of the team for Blackwater Community College and worked on the detailed design stage of that project. Kieran has also worked on many of the office and education projects HBM have completed in recent years, including Irish Water Offices & Gaelscoil Clonmel.

In 2022 Kieran left to complete his Masters Degree In University College Cork where his thesis project used mixed strategy architectural adaptive reuse and cultural interventions to save landmark housing structures from demolition. The project was announced as a finalist in the 2025 EU Mies van der Rohe Awards for Young Talent in Architecture, and was also nominated for the 2023 RIBA Silver Medal.

In 2024 Kieran moved to Melbourne, Australia where he gained experience working on Hospitality projects along with Modular Multi-Residential adaptive reuse projects.

Kieran rejoined the team again in 2026 where he aims to contribute to exciting projects in-house, as well as complete his professional practice exams with the RIAI.

Outside of work Kieran enjoys traveling, socializing and playing sport.
