Blathnaid is an Associate and Senior Architect at the practice, with over 10 years of experience specialising in the healthcare sector across Ireland and the UK.

Since joining HBM, she has continued to lead the delivery of healthcare projects from initial feasibility through to handover. Her work spans a wide variety of clinical departments and project types, including refurbishments within existing building fabric, sensitive protected structures, live hospital environments, extensions, and new builds.

Blathnaid also specialises in healthcare database management, with expertise in the Department of Health’s Activity Database (ADB) and dRofus. Her skill set includes client collaboration to establish project briefs, leading user group consultations, and acting as a trusted design adviser. She is experienced in developing departmental layouts, medical equipment plans, and associated reports.

With a strong understanding of clinical functionality and healthcare design standards, Blathnaid has successfully delivered projects across both public and private healthcare sectors.
